Amanda Le Page,

Amanda trained at the Welsh School of Architecture followed by conservation training with the Historic Buildings Division of the former Greater London Council. She worked on projects such as Kenwood House (Hampstead) and Manresa House (Richmond Park), Woolwich Arsenal and Hawksmoor’s Church St Anne’s, Limehouse. Amanda has post graduate qualifications in historic buildings conservation and undertook technical research with Plymouth University for her Master’s Degree. Amanda, after some years working for GHK in London, founded the Plymouth Office in 1987 and is Director in charge of architectural work undertaken by the company in the south west. During her career to date, Amanda has worked on a huge variety of buildings and sites including some very high profile conservation projects.

Historic buildings re-use is a particular specialisation, and work of this nature has involved working at sites such as South Yard Devonport Dockyard, Chicksands Priory, Ashton Court Bristol, Block Mills Portsmouth. She is lead heritage architect for the Royal William Yard Plymouth and is a consultant to the Diocese of Exeter and is on the historic building fabric committee of Truro Cathedral. Amanda has published technical papers on stonework conservation and is currently writing a historic review of the conservation work undertaken at Royal William Yard.
